I recently discovered Tamsin Waley-Cohen's recording of the complete CPE Bach sonatas for violin and piano. I was enthralled by her playing and CPE's music!!!

Confession: I have been a fan of CPE for decades!!!

My next project is a "sonata" for violin and piano. I thought I should try my hand at incorporating CPE's style into TOLmusic. Why not??? This will be my fifth "sonata" for violin and piano. The work is in eight movements.

NB: I accidentally found some enigmatic titles in CPE's "Petites Pièces per il Cembalo Solo." These are so amusing and funny compared to the usual titles of "Adagio," Allegro,""Presto," etc. that I decided to steal a few of them for my own work.

After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, he studied composition at the New England Conservatory and Harvard University.
